14/09/2009 - Skulduggery author visits Tuesday

Skulduggery Pleasant writer Derek Landy will come in for a LIVE chat on Tuesday 15th September.

With the Irish Sea kicking up a roar and the Sulake private jet being grounded, both Lost_Witness and I were stuck up a creek without a paddle. Thankfully colmc came to the rescue and has tracked down the writer of Skulduggery Pleasant , in deepest, darkest Ireland and convinced him to come into Habbo and chat to us about all things literature.

If you are a fan of the books, a writer looking for tips or just intrigued to know more about a man whose imagination thought up a skeletal wizard hero, then come to meet Derek Landy in the Skulduggery Pleasant Library on TUESDAY 15th SEPTEMBER at 4.45pm.

Here’s a quick rundown about the Skulduggery Pleasant books and we do mean quick, as there’s no time to lose.

Deep breath… Right. Skulduggery Pleasant is a fire-throwing, wise-cracking detective with a serious talent for magic. He is a master of dirty tricks, but the most important thing about him is that he’s… well, dead. Luckily he has a sidekick called Valkyrie Cain who is very much alive and well. Unluckily, she’s only thirteen, and still lives at home – even if she is pretty good with magic too. Together, they battle the forces of evil, including the notorious Baron Vengeous and Serpine, as well as the mysterious Diablerie.
